What is the InTank® BC Module?

The InTank® BC Module is an alternative to the EC (electrochlorination) module that stores bulk sodium hypochlorite solution instead of producing it on board.

How does it Work?

The InTank® BC (Bulk Chemical) module delivers active substance (sodium hypochlorite) to the Dosing Module via a metering pump. In larger applications the BC Module is filled as required from sodium hypochlorite storage tank – one m3 of sodium hypochlorite treats approximately 10,000 m3 of challenging ballast water.

InTank® BC Module Applications

  • Ideal for smaller vessels, < 50,000 DWT, that just require a simple robust BWTS
  • Cost constrained, older vessels
  • In combination with an EC Module to reduce treatment time on occasional short voyages
